THE POWER OF FAMILY
In many ways, family is the cornerstone of The Experiment in International Living. For eighty years, we have worked with tens of thousands of families across the world to build and run extraordinary summer abroad programs for high school students.
We recognize that there is no greater responsibility than running thoughtful, safe, educational, and fun programs for your children. We seek to work closely with your family throughout the admissions and enrollment process to determine which Experiment program is a good fit for the interests and needs of your child.
During a summer with The Experiment, your child becomes part of a group of other high school students. This group, typically 10–15 students, under the guidance of two trained adult group leaders, becomes your child’s family for the summer, offering support, encouragement, and friendship.
During the homestay, your child learns about the daily life of another culture, becoming a son, daughter, brother, or sister. Learning about a culture from within encourages connection, creates friendship, and helps your child develop important skills, attitudes, and relationships necessary to a meaningful, long-lasting experience.

Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM–5:00PM. During the summer program cycle, a full-time Experiment staff member is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
