Bem-vindos ao Brasil.
Experience the passion of Brazil, the fifth-largest country in the world. Feel the pulsating rhythm of the samba, the soft sand beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, and the warmth of a Brazilian host family. Whether it’s immersing yourself in the music and dance of Bahia, or experiencing culture and community service through the art of Brazilian soccer, your experience will move you.

The Experiment offers two exciting programs in Brazil. Both include an orientation in Rio de Janeiro and a homestay. An Experiment experience in Brazil will challenge you to use and improve your Portuguese language skills and directly engage you in Brazillian life and culture through community service, soccer, travel, and/or the arts.

"In Brazil I was most inspired by the music and dancing. Every time my group visited a local school we would sing together and then teach each other samba or the latest hip-hop. At one youth center I made friends with a little boy who walked our group to the bus stop and kept asking me to sing different songs for him. As I got on the bus to leave, he told me in Portuguese that my voice touched his heart. I was amazed at the connection we had made in such a short time through our mutual love of music."
