Orientation in Tokyo
In Tokyo, you hit the ground running. Spend your days exploring one of the world’s largest and most dynamic cities. In small groups, you navigate the maze-like Tokyo subway, visit local markets, and explore the city with Japanese students.
Homestay, Language Training, and Cultural Activities
Journey to the northern island of Hokkaido. Experience Japanese culture firsthand as you ease into the comfortable daily routine of your new home. During language training and cultural workshops, you explore the local community, build your language skills, and spend time with your Japanese family.
Sample host communities: Muroran, Ishikari, Shiraoi, Nanae
Anime and Manga
Spend 10 days at a famous anime school working with professional artists and Japanese student animators. Learn character development, drawing skills, animation techniques, and voice-overs. You will also visit anime production companies, manga studios, and neighborhoods famous for contemporary art. By the end of your stay, you develop the vocabulary and skills to design and animate your own character and animated clip!
