During your three-day orientation in Paris, become an expert at negotiating the Metro, visit the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre, and meander down the Champs Elysées. Practice French while visiting local vendors to buy bread, fruit, and cheese for a picnic lunch.

Arts and Adventure in Provence
Provence is your canvas for an unforgettable journey through the land that has inspired artists for centuries. Beginning in Paris, you work with a local artist and use your sketchbook, a keen eye,and your French language skills to capture the beauty of the city. Following your homestay, practice your painting skills as you explore southeastern France. Walk in the footsteps of Matisse to capture the beauty of Nice while meeting with working artists. Paint the rolling hills and Mont Sainte-Victoire that inspired Cézanne or the verdant valleys of Van Gogh’s paintings around Arles; immerse yourself in the countryside and villages in one of the most vibrant regions of France.

Sample host communities: Saint-Etienne Les Orgues, La Roque d’Anthéron, La Vallée des Baux

Sample activities: Learn the art of Provençal watercolor; explore the Camargue National Park on horseback; Work with French artists and artisans; create your own portfolio.
