The Arts Programs

Two EIL participants with sketchpads in France Artistic heritage and tradition give enormous texture to your understanding of another culture. Explore theater, film, photography, music, dance, or culinary arts and use your creativity and talent as a palette for a remarkable summer.

Sample Activities:
Learn the art of Provençal watercolor as you work with your group and a local artist in Southern France. In-between cooking lessons in Italy, visit a buffalo farm to see how mozzarella di bufala is produced; learn the art of character design, manga technique, animation, and voiceover at a renowned anime school in Japan; participate in a flamenco workshop and create pottery in a traditional factory in Spain; complete a documentary film in the United Kingdom; perform a play entirely in French at a theater in Paris; learn traditional weaving in Morocco.
